Washtenaw County is the western edge of our map, and we come out regularly to pour driveways and patios in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti. Both are within about 25 miles of Westland, an easy run west from our shop in Romulus. Many homes here are older, some close to the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, with tight lots, narrow drives and backyards that have room for a good patio once the old slab comes out.
Where we install in Washtenaw County
The ground splits between the two towns. Ann Arbor sits mostly on rolling glacial till, with slopes and pockets of clay that call for careful grading. Ypsilanti leans toward sandy outwash, which drains well and needs every lift of base compacted firmly. In both, the city reviews driveway and approach work, and we'll tell you what your address needs before we set a pour date.
